I've been noticing a new phenomenon (for me at least). Many of my online meetings have notetaker bots joining calls without the person who was invited to the call. Sometimes these bots are zombies as the person is no longer working at the company or has removed themselves from the meeting. Additionally people are also using various transcription devices that one wears. It records everything and transcribes and summarizes the conversations. I have no idea if any of this requires consent or if it's even possible to know who or what is recording.  I'm guessing there are now terabytes (petabytes) of innocuous conversations being summarized, searched and filtered but people who didn't pay attention while they were in a meeting or perhaps they are writing up a report from the recording as if they did attend when they didn't. There seems to be a concerted effort to time shift our attention away from the current moment with the promise that we can recount that moment at a later date. Not sure where all this going.
