It's hot in Florida. It's never cold but there's a brief moment when it's not hot, then it's hot. I have been getting up early to go for a walk before the sun is too high in the sky and there's still some shadows. I'm also walking in the morning because I noticed I was looking at slack alerts and messages on my iPad while still in bed and then getting up walking ten steps to my desktop and sitting down for a minute that lasts 30 minutes. Getting up from my desktop to make coffee and maybe some oatmeal and then sitting down again for another hour or two. This is not good. I can feel my legs and back atrophying. So now I get up try not to look at any screen and go for a 45 minute to hour long walk before I do anything else. My iPhone tells me it's 7,000 or so steps. All by 8:30am. Let's see how long this lasts. Also I get to see the local Pelicans in the harbor.
