I have taken a morning walk everyday this week and have gone for a swim three times. My body is slowly remembering what it's like to use muscles. I forget how quickly muscles atrophy. Typing on a keyboard all day does nothing good. Unfortunately it's my primary method to make a living.
This morning my walk highlight was a cat. A smallish gray and white cat was laying on the sidewalk about two blocks from my apartment. He(?) had a collar with a locator so I assumed he was just out for some fresh air. I approached and he just looked at me. I crouched down and slowly approached him. He got up meowed and stretched. So I gave him a little pat and stroked his back. He meowed again so I rubbed his head and neck for a bit. After a few more meows he laid back down on the sidewalk signaling our get together had concluded. I continued my walk and I assume he waited for his next encounter. I didn't take any pictures. Not every moment needs to be captured. Besides I have so many cat photos and videos in my Bluesky feed that I hardly need to make my own. Instead it will be a vague memory for a bit until another displaces it.
